But I need to recover the contacts from the Outlook 2016 (32 bit Office 365) OST files for 2 email accounts (his and hers). I tried to purchase but when the order went through (Digital River) all I got was a message saying that they were having issues generating my software license and they would contact me in 24 hours.

I don't even know if their software is worth purchasing. So I thought I'd ask the hive if any of you have used any OST to PST conversion software that you would recommend. I really don't know why Microsoft (at least through Nirsoft) woudl not have a utility to do this stuff built in (if not into Outlook 2016, then into the Mail app in Control Panel).

Anyway.I need to get the contacts out of a 2016 32 bit Outlook created OST file and import them into the new instance of Outlook on the new SSD. I thought that using an OST to PST conversion app would be the way to go, but I cannot find any reliable reviews of the converters that I have found via Google. I would not recommend purchasing anything from Regain Software. When they were unable to deliver the license online at the time of purchase (something ANY company selling software online should be able to do) I requested a refund and went to purchase Stellar as recommended by so many of you. In return, I got this reply.

Evidently they take money for software licenses without the ability to deliver the licenses at time of purchase without telling you this up front. Then they refuse to give you a refund and insist on you getting a license key via email. I think they are stuck in the 1980's. Here is the time it took to convert one of the 2 OST files that I needed to PST. This file was a 1.33 GB OST file. • 9:30 selected OST file and clicked SCAN • approx 9:53 when primary scan completed • Save to PST started at 9:55 • Save to PST ended at 10:06 • Converted size 1.80 GB Now this was done on an older (5 years now I think) ASUS g73jh laptop with 12 GB RAM, a Sandisk 480 GB Ultra II SSD and an Intel Core i7 Q 720, 1.6 GHz processor. So it isn't nearly as fast as even a newer i5. Stellar's OST to PST Converter is drop dead simple and just gets right to the job at hand. In order to recover the Contacts (which is all I was missing) I had to load each newly created PST and drag the Contacts from that entry over into my contacts folder for the current Outlook profile, and job done! I highly recommend.
